Our Brave Border Patrol Agents

Our border patrol agents are increasingly under fire by Mexican militia working for drug cartels. The Bush Administration, instead of backing our people up, has given them little cards that tell them basically to run away and hide! Our agents are facing death every day and every night and our government does nothing to help them. How much more outrage will the Bush Administration perpetuate? Just how far can one stick their head in the sand and still speak with ANY clarity? Is it any wonder he has so much trouble speaking at all?

WorldNetDaily reported this and I think it well worth revisiting:

“The Border Patrol lives in constant fear of pleasing the consulate general of Mexico,” the agent continued. “It’s one of the things that’s most mystifying to line agents” because the U.S. is one of the most powerful countries in the world but appears to be more interested in accommodating Mexico City, the agent said.

Indeed, the confrontations have become so routine the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued written orders that agents carry with them regarding “what to do” if confronted by Mexican military units, many of which are in the employ of Mexico’s powerful drug cartels.

According to the “Military Incursion” cards, “Mexican military are trained to escape, evade and counter-ambush if it will affect their escape.” Therefore, the card says, Border Patrol agents should follow recommended procedures in case they encounter armed Mexican military units.

The paper said the cards also instruct agents to hide from Mexican military operating in their areas. Rather than engage in contact, agents are ordered to “Avoid it.”

One Arizona agent described the units to the paper, saying they “are active Mexican military that have sold out to the cartels.”

“We talk about cooperation with the Mexican government,” the agent continued, “but most of them seem to be on the take. The [Bush] administration, the DHS, they are very hushed about this.”

Hushed about this? Where is the outrage? Where is our security now people? If we cannot protect our own borders, what the HELL are we doing in Iraq? Oh, that’s right, we want the OIL there……….. But I’m not talking about oil today, I’m talking about our borders and those who are trying to defend them.

There should be NO confusion for our agents on the issue of what to do with illegals caught trying to cross the border, or the Mexican Militia. That the Bush Administration is basically telling them to stand down, run away, do nothing, is contrary to what they are telling the American People, that they are securing the borders, installing the fences, etc.

In August of 2002, WorlNetDaily again wrote about our borders and our agents there. They expressed their increasing alarm over the amount of traffic coming across the border.

Rep. Tom Tancredo R-Colo, who completed a three-day fact-finding mission along a busy stretch of Arizona border on Tuesday, gave WorldNetDaily a wide-ranging interview of what he found. As he did after three previous trips, Tancredo claimed that some areas of the border are so overrun with illegal immigrant traffic that only U.S. troops augmenting Border Patrol and INS officials could possibly hope to stem the flow and give the nation better security in these uncertain times of terrorist threats.

And this was back then. Imagine how much worse the situation is now. The Bush Administration needs to pull their heads out of whatever dark place they are in and do something constructive here! It is time that they SUPPORTED our Troops, whether they be military or Border! Each is important to the security of the United States of America!

And how DARE the Congressman Sam Farr from California say that our border agents are acting in a “Gestapo-like” manner? Perhaps he would just like to GIVE California back to Mexico? I hear there is plenty of talk that way there. Heck, with the ideas and laws coming out of California, maybe that isn’t such a bad idea after all. So long as Sam Farr goes with it! Read the CNN Transcript here of Lou Dobbs show:

DOBBS: Well, the conservative right in this country, principally the Chamber of Commerce and big business interests love to criticize me and call me names because I don’t want them exploiting illegal labor and I don’t want them exporting our jobs.

And on the liberal left, the ethnocentric open borders and amnesty advocates are equally quick to brand any discussion of illegal immigration and they attack me. They have even taken to suggesting I am using hate speech because I want to stop illegal immigration.

However on this broadcast we’ve never opposed illegal immigration, we have never used hate speech and in point of fact, as Bill Tucker now reports, the pro illegal alien lobby is now frequently using insulting and hateful rhetoric.

Listen up.

BILL TUCKER, CNN CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): The language in the immigration debate is getting more heated.

JOSHUA HOYT, ILLINOIS COALITION FOR IMMIGRANT RIGHTS: Lou Dobbs and the people like him have unleashed a tsunami of racial resentment and hate in this country which is completely disproportionate.

TUCKER: Opposing illegal immigration while supporting illegal immigration doesn’t appear to be acceptable, but using the phrase “Gestapo-like” to describe immigration raids in a congressional hearing apparently is acceptable.

California Congressman Sam Farr who did so refuses to apologize. The congressman’s words fit a patter of those advocating for illegal aliens and according to them police who enforced the law are terrorists engaged in something far more nefarious.

REV. WALTER COLEMAN, ADALBERTO METHODIST CHURCH: The failure of the Congress to act has left 20 million people, that 12 million undocumented and four million U.S. citizen children, four million legal and citizen spouses and extended families. Has left them in a reign of terror. Has left them really in an attempt at ethnic cleansing.

HAMID KHAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SOUTH ASIAN NETWORK: We are hoping that our demands are met and this kind of vicious ethnic cleansing is stopped.

RENE SAUCEDO, LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL: It’s immoral and abominable that the U.S. government is terrorizing families.

AQUILINA SORIANO, LOS ANGELES ARCHDIOCESE: It seems that immigration is trying to really wreak havoc within our communities by putting fear, by creating an atmosphere of fear and terror.

TUCKER: In 2007, according to ICE records, 281,000 illegal aliens either left voluntarily or were deported. There are estimates that as many as 20 million immigrants are here illegally. Using those numbers that would be barely more than one percent. Most of those who were deported were criminals in addition being here unlawfully.

Wreak havoc on families and communities? What do you think these illegal immigrants are doing to the LEGAL Citizens of THIS COUNTRY FOOL! Working for cheap is wreaking havoc on our economy. OUR citizens are losing jobs because we don’t work as cheap as illegals do. Instead of being a bleeding heart for someone who doesn’t belong here, how about you take notice of the poor IN THIS country that DO belong here? How about we fix OURSELVES before we invite illegals in? And just in case it escapes you, ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL! What part of that don’t you understand? This country was founded by Immigrants, LEGAL ones. My mother was a LEGAL Immigrant. Every illegal immigrant is a slap in the face to all those who worked hard to be a LEGAL citizen of this country.

Most of all I simply do not understand this:

Two U.S. Border Patrol agents were sentenced to prison terms of 11 years and 12 years for shooting a drug-smuggling suspect in the buttocks as he fled across the U.S.-Mexico border.

U.S. District Court Judge Kathleen Cardone in El Paso, Texas, sentenced Jose Alonso Compean to 12 years in prison and Ignacio Ramos to 11 years and one day despite a plea by their attorney for a new trial after three jurors said they were coerced into voting guilty in the case, the Washington Times reported.

As WorldNetDaily reported, a federal jury convicted Compean, 28, and Ramos, 37, in March after a two-week trial on charges of causing serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, discharge of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence and a civil rights violation.

Was the prosecutor on drugs? Was this court on drugs? Did everyone take a stupid pill that day? How in the WORLD did a JURY convict these two brave men? Talk about moronic metal of the century! This is the cake topper here. IT IS THEIR JOB TO STOP ILLEGALS AND THIS MAN WAS RUNNING DRUGS TO BOOT! Why are they STILL in a federal prison? Why hasn’t the American People marched in outrage against this injustice? I would not have believe this type of stupidity could exist here in the United States of America!

Well this American salutes our border patrol agents! I thank you for the job that you do, no matter how much your bosses tell you not to. Thank you!

  1. I have a question… why doesn’t the border patrol stop vehicles even on the way into Mexico from the US, especially at odd hours in the morning. For instance 3:49am when our truck was stolen and a picture of it’s license plate was taken. It doesn’t make any sense to me. We are a military family and I can’t believe that the border patrol wouldn’t do a check point ahead of the federalies before people even enter Mexico.

  2. So I guess I’ll send them over to your house then huh?
