John Morton U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Refuses To Do His Job
John T. Morton is the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He leads the principal investigative component of the Department of Homeland Security and the second largest investigative agency in the federal government, with more than 19,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $5 billion. And he has decided he won’t enforce immigration laws when it comes to illegal aliens captured and turned over by law enforcement in Arizona.
And we pay this guy WHY? Someone should slap this man up-side the head and see if there is anyone home behind that smile. Considering that he is there to enforce immigration law one has to wonder if he is just arrogant or actually believes he is doing a good thing? I tell you, what passes for intelligence in D.C. blows my mind.
The country’s top federal immigration enforcement cop says his agency won’t be doing its job . “John Morton, who heads U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona officials. The best way to reduce illegal immigration is through a comprehensive federal approach, not a patchwork of state laws, he said. ‘I don’t think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution,’ Morton said during a visit to the Chicago Tribune editorial board.
And Morton’s opinion is relevant how exactly? Well, it is relevant in the sense that a senior Homeland Security official has openly declared that he won’t be doing his job. Morton has sworn an oath to uphold the laws of the United States. He is not allowed to pick and choose which ones he likes and which he doesn’t.
Perhaps Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano could do something right for a change and fire this guy.
Like so many other federal employees Morton is just a flunky pushing the Obaminator’s policy. Why, in heaven’s name, would we want to enforce the laws of this Nation??? It seems that there is one law for the Citizens of this country and another for those NOT of this country. What is the point of being part of a system that works against the Citizens of this country and for those who break our law?
Failing miserably seems to be what the feds are best at. Arizona is well rid of Janet Napolitano and her flunkies. Flailing about miserably to make a show of being tough while running to hide behind the woodshed. If, or when, Morton decides to actually read the Arizona law he is going to feel very stupid indeed. Do they get bonuses for being brain dead? Probably. After all the bankers got bonuses for destroying our economy. The worse it is for us, the bigger the pay bonus it seems.
How comforting it must be to know you can refuse to do your job and still have one in the morning. Just how many average Citizens, still employed, could make that claim? Oh, my bad, that would be everyone working for the feds, right?
One of the myths that the feds love to quote, and do so often, is that aliens help create work for Citizens. On what planet? Certainly not on this one or in this country. Between the legal aliens and the illegal ones working here, 20 million Citizens are out of work. And isn’t it funny that there are an estimate 20 million aliens working in this country? Job losses, home foreclosures, have led to food stamps because Citizens can’t earn a living wage. Feds can play stupid all they want but this country and its Citizens are in BIG trouble. The feds don’t give a shit. They are more concerned hiding the fact that illegal aliens are bilking the united States treasury of billions of dollars each year.

Since the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) became part of the income tax code in 1975, it has quietly become the largest cash transfer program in the United States. At a cost of more than $44 billion per year, EITC spending dwarfs that of the traditional welfare program—Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)—and food stamps combined. More than 23 million households currently receive the credit.
Edwin Rubenstein exposed one of the most dramatic tax frauds ever on the American taxpayer: “Defrauding the American taxpayer,” Volume 19, Number 3, spring 2009, http://www.thesocialcontract.com, “The Earned Income Tax Credit and Illegal Immigration – A Study in Fraud, Abuse, and Liberal Activism.”
But the Sleeping Giant, We the People, are coming awake to the reality of the federal government. Fraud and deception have been the feds policy for too long. Now, instead of hiding, the feds openly refuse to do the jobs they were hired for. How comforting. Must be nice to feel that secure in your position that you can refuse to do your job and still have one in the morning. I say, fire the b*stard…
I found the following news item from AZCentral to be utterly ironic:
A former federal prosecutor, Morton said his agency intends to expand the Secure Communities initiative, which gives local sheriff’s departments and police access to a Homeland Security database that includes fingerprints. The initiative recently grew to include most of Chicago’s suburbs.
Morton also said the agency intends to increase scrutiny of employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants.
* Smacks Forehead * So Morton decides Arizona’s new law is “bad for business,” but he wants to push secure neighborhoods? The difference being??? What convoluted logic says that one isn’t the same as the other? Do you have to be an idiot to get a federal job? Or just talk like one?
My own failure to comprehend how our communities can be safer when the dangers brought by illegal aliens include gangs, drugs, violent crime, rape, and murder. Will they magically cease without ICE enforcing the laws already on the books? Does ICE know something the rest of us don’t?
Secure Communities: A Comprehensive Plan to Identify and Remove Criminal Aliens is a Department of Homeland Security initiative that improves public safety by implementing a comprehensive, integrated approach to identify and remove criminal aliens from the United States. The Secure Communities Program Management Office coordinates all ICE planning, operational, technical, and fiscal activities devoted to transforming, modernizing, and optimizing the criminal alien enforcement process. ICE plans to spend $1.4 billion of Congressional appropriations for criminal alien enforcement efforts in FY 2009.
But they are bitching about the new Arizona law? I’m scratching my head at what the difference between Arizona and the feds is. Oh, my bad, it is the fact that it is ARIZONA doing what the feds have refused to do for the past 30 years! Seems to me they are more miffed that we will actually do what we say we’ll do rather than strut around talking and doing nothing.
Don’t we all feel better knowing that Morton will be strutting his stuff, doing absolutely nothing, and talking the big talk about enforcing policy when he won’t enforce anything of the kind? < sarc >Ya, I know I feel better!< /sarc >

But it doesn’t end there! In a round-house discussion on TV last week, the imminent and inane journalist Eleanor Clift, totally out of touch with reality, said of illegal immigration into America, “It’s a happy invasion.”
In the same moment, former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan told the round table, “There are more illegal aliens in Arizona than Americans serving in the United States Army. That’s an invasion.”
Happy for some maybe, but for the average Citizen this is a nightmare! Call me stupid but just how safe are our neighborhoods if there are more criminal illegal aliens in Arizona than there are Citizens in the military. I must have fallen off the logic cart because it makes no sense to me. Maybe one of you out there can explain it to me..?
The cost of bilingual education in the united States is one of the largest burdens on State and local budgets. Mexico doesn’t pay for any of this, but demands we do. Once again, the absurdity of Calderon coming here and stamping his foot against Arizona makes me laugh!

Public education is by far the largest expense state and local governments incur on behalf illegal aliens. The average low-income immigrant household – a category that includes illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children – receives an estimated $7,737 each year in kindergarten through grade 12 education services.1 That’s more than twice the combined annual cost of Medicaid, welfare, and other means-tested benefits for such households ($2,957.) It also dwarfs the expense of providing them with police and fire protection ($2,198), transportation ($572), unemployment insurance ($488), and sewer and utilities ($411).2
The cost of educating illegal aliens and their native-born children is expected to grow dramatically. A FAIR report, “No Room to Learn: Immigration and School Overcrowding,” estimates that immigration will account for 96 percent of the increase in the school-age population in the United States over the next 50 years. Illegal aliens will account for as much as half of the increase.
Mexico doesn’t have this problem. They don’t provide bi-lingual education. Calderon comes begging for money from the Citizens here, (aka he asks congress), and criticizes Arizona for doing something about the costs associated with illegal aliens. Were does he get off saying anything about U.S. policies? Mexico’s are far worse!
He gets off doing so because those in office want him to. Bankrupting Cities only furthers the cause of wrecking the united States and placing it under outside control. If Americans don’t wake up soon and work together instead of separately, they will find themselves outsiders in their own country.
The plan seems to be once all cities and States are bankrupt the take-over will be easy. After all, someone has to pay the bills and a foreign government able to do so will own us. We need to stop this madness at the State level and stop all programs which enable illegals to stay in this country PERIOD! We’ll let those who desire to be sanctuary States bear the burden of paying for them.
Of course Morton isn’t the only brain child in the pay of Homeland Security. Here is a quote I found from another employee of DHS!
“This 56-year-old guy named Brian Doyle, the deputy press secretary of the Homeland Security Department, was arrested on 23 counts of using his government computer and cell pone to try and have sex with a 14-year-old girl. He would send these girls porno on the Web cam. Nice to see our surveillance cameras being used non-stop in the war against terror.” –Jay Leno
This guy was arrested. But shouldn’t someone whose job it is to enforce federal laws also be arrested for failure to enforce them? Should we be paying someone like John Morton when he refuses to do the job he is tasked with? Where can I get a job like that??? According to Wikipedia John T. Morton receives a maximum pay of $179,700 for 2010 FOR NOT DOING HIS JOB!!! Imagine how many unemployed Citizens could gain employment with this kind of money sent to employ those who actually want to work? Ya, I want that guys job.
Mastering in disinformation, a specialty of the united States federal government, there are 5 great myths they like to quote concerning illegal aliens and jobs.

First of all, the past four presidents and Congresses failed to enforce the 1986 immigration amnesty. We do not entertain any chance that this current president or Congress would enforce our borders after yet another amnesty. For anyone that might appreciate HOW deep our predicament, please join Roy Beck at http://www.numbersusa.com for a look at what we face by downloading “Immigration by the Numbers”. His 14 minute video will show you the futility and insanity of continued mass immigration whether legal or illegal from a line that grows by 77 million annually of poverty stricken people searching for a ‘better life’ in America. You won’t find any media talking about it or addressing it. They run from, avoid, evade and ignore it at all costs.
But if we ignore it as a civilization, immigration will inject 70 million third world people and their cultures of poverty into this country by 2035—a scant 25 years from now. We cannot sustain that number and we most certainly will not survive it with any hope for the continuation of the American Dream for our children.
In the mean time, remember that these illegal aliens are demanding amnesty for breaking our immigration laws. Would we offer amnesty to a convicted murder? How about someone pushing child pornography? Amnesty doesn’t distinguish which of these illegals have criminal histories. Many of those pushing for amnesty are child molesters, rapists, and terrorists. Amnesty would apply to all.
A great graph for seeing population versus land mass can be found HERE:
Mexico and Mexicans have plenty of room for growth in their own country and we don’t need to support them here. No Amnesty for criminals. Let Mexico support its citizens and we’ll support ours.
