Terrorists Within

It seems that the bush administration has stopped looking outside the United States for terrorists and is now concentrating WITHIN it! Between the hidden concentration camps being built, the use of torture by the CIA, and the targeting of those within our borders, I’m getting a really creepy feeling.

According to an article I read today in CommonDreams.org, the FBI’s use of NSL, (National Security Letters), has jumped. And the figures aren’t available after 2006. Still the figures that are available show a marked increase while the cases being prosecuted for terrorism have dropped… So, what’s going on?

Let me show you what I read:

Changing numbers

A recent study showed that the number of terrorism and national security cases initiated by the Justice Department in 2007 was more than 50% below 2002 levels. The nonprofit Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, which obtained the data under the Freedom of Information Act, found that the number of cases brought declined 19% in the last year alone, dropping to 505 in 2007 from 624 in 2006.

By contrast, the Justice Department reported last month that the nation’s spy court had granted 2,370 warrant requests by the department to search or eavesdrop on suspected terrorists and spies in the U.S. last year — 9% more than in 2006. The number of such warrants approved by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court has more than doubled since the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The department also reported a sharp rise in the use of national security letters by the FBI — from 9,254 in 2005 to 12,583 in 2006, the latest data available. The letters seek customer information from banks, Internet providers and phone companies. They have caused a stir because consumers do not have a right to know that their information is being disclosed and the letters are issued without court oversight.

The inspector general of the Justice Department has found numerous cases in which FBI agents failed to comply with rules and guidelines in issuing the letters, often gaining access to information they were not entitled to. The FBI has responded by taking a number of measures to tighten its internal procedures.

So, I did what I always do and started searching. What I found didn’t reassure me any either.

This is not a joke and I’m not laughing here. From the website there is this information about these camps:

Halliburton Confirms Concentration Camps Already Constructed

On February 17, 2006, in a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld spoke of the harm being done to the country’s security, not just by the enemy, but also by what he called “news informers” who needed to be combated in “a contest of wills.”

In 2002 Attorney General John Ashcroft announced his desire to see camps for U.S. citizens deemed to be “enemy combatants.”

A Defense Department document, entitled the “ strategy-for-homeland-defense-and-civil-support ,” has set out a military strategy against terrorism that envisions an “active, layered defense” both inside and outside U.S. territory. In the document, the Pentagon pledges to “transform U.S. military forces to execute homeland defense missions in the . . . U.S. homeland.” The strategy calls for increased military reconnaissance and surveillance.

The Washington Post reported on February 15, 2006 that the National Counterterrorism Center’s (NCTC) central repository holds the names of 325,000 terrorist suspects, a fourfold increase since fall of 2003. A Pentagon official said the Counterintelligence Field Activity’s TALON program has amassed files on antiwar protesters.

Shortly after Bush orchestrated 9/11, he issued “military-order-number-one“, which empowered him to detain any non citizen as an international terrorist or enemy combatant. Today that order extends to U.S. citizens as well.

Concentration Camp Rail Car

FEMA ordered 107,200 ‘AutoMax’ prison cars from Gunderson Steel modified from original FEMA design to carry automobiles. They apparently wanted people to become accustomed to seeing these railcars so they would just think they were hauling autos.

This article says that all those box cars have shackles in them. You might want to read it just in case. One comment I found interesting was this one posted by an anonymous user:

It’s true. I’ve seen the trains with the shackles and guillotines. They usually park them on unused side-rails out in the sticks. Came across one while hunting. I’d heard rumors back in 2001, then came across the real deal. It’s also true that we’re watching them. The camps that Halliburton constructed are all near rails and airports. Also, look on the back of your road signs. They have tac-marks which contain code - directions to heliports ,airports, railways, schools, and hospitals.

Now, I personally have never seen these railway cars. But the rumors of them have been around for quite some time. And usually, where there is smoke, there is fire… Not wanting to discount what information is out there, I choose to post it in the hopes that someone may find it useful. What is scary is that these things are ready for you and I.

And it just gets more and more surreal if you ask me. If there wasn’t information from places like PBS.org and the State Department itself, I’d think this was all a hoax. But I know better. A list of concentration camps by State is listed HERE: fema-concentration-camp-locations

But of course that is only if you are interested in seeing if there is a location close to you… When I read stuff like this, I have to wonder just where we are headed? What exactly is it the government thinks its Citizens are going to do? And Why? And are they judging us by those like bush? I sure hope not, because I know I have more integrity in my little finger nail than he has in his whole body. Now that is a sad thing to say about someone who is supposed to be looked up to, wouldn’t you say? Well, that’s what happens when you lie, steal, cheat, torture, commit war crimes, etc…

But the article from CommonDreams.org was excellent! It is just disturbing how the numbers are going. I have to wonder why, in a country made strong by differing opinions, the nations leaders would now be so paranoid about those of us whose opinions differ from their own? Maybe it is because they have so much to be afraid of?

I can’t tell you what to think, I wouldn’t want to. That isn’t my way. But I would like you to consider these things. While doing web searches for Halliburton and prison trains I came up with 66,500 entries.

For Secret Prison Camps inside the USA I found:292,000 entries. And you know what they say, where there is smoke, there is fire.

Now, I’ll grant you that they won’t ALL apply to what I was looking for, but a good portion of them will. And you will have to decide for yourself whether or not the information is real or not. That video sure as hell looked real to me.

The most awful thing of all to me is that I don’t trust my government anymore. I think back to Bobby Kennedy and I can remember how much hope there was then. He wasn’t perfect, but he inspired us. bush doesn’t inspire us. He rules by lies and fear.

These candidates don’t inspire me either. Their campaigns are weak and wimpy. And I think that when one of them gets to be president, you will see just what a nothing they will be. They all tell you what you want to hear while they want you to vote for them, but once all is said and done, they are so done with you.

Congress doesn’t inspire me. I watch them allow a despot to remain in the White House when he should have been removed long ago along with his whole administration, and they do NOTHING. I watch them remove Veterans benefits while spending billions on war. It makes no sense to me. I’m sure they figure I’m just ignorant. But I am NOT stupid. My IQ is probably a hell of a lot higher than any one of theirs…
