Those who advocate for amnesty for illegal aliens would have you believe that anyone who wants them OUT of this country is both a racist and may be capable of committing hate crimes. It simply isn’t so. This is their only way of defending a position that is indefensible. This is a country of LAWS/RULES and they are advocating that we abolish those laws/rules, or stop enforce existing laws/rules in order to accept those into our society who have broken our laws just by being here.

One other thing that seems to be a favorite of pro-illegal aliens is the forgetting of the term ILLEGAL in front of IMMIGRANT as though these were just legal immigrants that made a mistake or something. Ya, right. Or the term Human Migration as a justification for illegal alien movement. Sorry guys. A study done by those terms is not a justification for breaking KNOWN laws and customs.

If you have to justify a thing, you already KNOW it is wrong!

Merriam-Webster defines racism this way:

racism

Function:
noun
Date:
1933
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 : racial prejudice or discrimination
rac·ist noun or adjective

Now, if I was a racist, wouldn’t I demand that ALL Hispanic people leave the country not just those here illegally?  I mean, think about it.  That is the meaning of Racism isn’t it?

Obviously for most of us this doesn’t apply. Certainly not to myself for although I don’t want illegal aliens in this country I do not feel superior to them or anyone else. Now, it is admitted that most of the illegals in this country come here from Mexico. But not wanting illegals here doesn’t make you a racist as defined above. It says that it is only ONE race you dislike, hate or feel superior towards. That is silly. It is not discrimination to want those breaking our laws/rules to be deported back to their native countries. Nor is it being prejudiced to want our laws enforced.

I feel the same way about ANY ILLEGAL regardless of nationality. So let’s look at the definition of Hate Crimes as defined by Merriam-Webster:

hate crimes

One entry found.
hate crime
hate crime

Function:
noun
Date:
1984
: any of various crimes (as assault or defacement of property) when motivated by hostility to the victim as a member of a group (as one based on color, creed, gender, or sexual orientation)

Here again we have a definition that doesn’t apply since NOWHERE in my posts do I advocate violence against any individual, color, race, gender or those of a certain sexual orientation. On the contrary, you can look in any post I’ve done on illegal aliens and see that I advocate calling law enforcement. That doesn’t promote a hate crime. Sorry to tell you that guys.

One other name I’ve been called recently was a xenophobic. Interesting but again, untrue. Here is the definition of that term as defined by Merriam-Webster:

xenophobic
One entry found.
xenophobe

Pronunciation:
\ˈze-nə-ˌfōb, ˈzē-\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
International Scientific Vocabulary
Date:
1922

: one unduly fearful of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin

This is plainly ridiculous. I do not fear Illegal aliens/Immigrants. My mother was Swiss, immigrated here legally at age 19 and became a citizen at 21 after which she married my father who was a citizen. I have relatives that live in Europe and Asia. I have a cousin who married into an Hispanic family and we were very close while I grew up. This has nothing to do with any of the names these folks are calling us. It DOES have to do with emotional blackmail so that you will feel guilty for wanting ILLEGAL ALIENS out of this country…

The reality is that their position is indefensible and their only way to get around that is by calling you names and manipulating you to the point where you feel guilty about your views. Well, sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me. Emotional blackmail just doesn’t work on me. It never has and never will. I’m sure other people are not so lucky though and this emotional blackmail works well on them.

Emotional blackmail equates to the use of fear AND/OR guilt emotions to MANIPULATE YOU! This is their leverage against anything you have to say about ILLEGAL ALIENS. It is the only thing THEY CAN SAY and they will use this as many times as they can to force you into changing your stance. But it isn’t real and IT DOESN’T MAKE IT TRUE. It has no bearing under the Laws/rules of this country or any other country.

Wherever you go in this life, whatever you do, there are rules to be obeyed. These are not optional parameters that can be junked at the whim of the individual. And while they can be changed, UNTIL they are changed, they are NOT OPTIONAL. Those using emotional blackmail would have you believe that rules are optional and that so long as you feel sorry for those “less privileged than yourself”, it is all ok. Not so… And those facilitating the breaking of these rules are also breaking the RULES of the land. They should be held accountable and prosecuted… That includes the Mayors, Governors, etc. of any City that is a sanctuary City.

They would also have you believe that because of certain acts committed against other governments by THIS GOVERNMENT, or those working for this government, we are therefore responsible for those that are FORCED to come to this country ILLEGALLY. Again, application for LEGAL immigration has MANY avenues including amnesty from repressive governments or those who fear for their lives from their governments. There is no reason we should be FORCED to allow ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS or ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION into this country. More emotional blackmail…

Those who are pro-amnesty/pro-illegal alien cannot dispute these facts and so resort to name-calling and other abusive practices for which they accuse us of. Kind of ironic I think…

OK, so you bought into their bullshit and you don’t want to be a racist, a hate-crime advocate, a xenophobe? So what else is there to do? Go after those who hire illegals or allow illegals to rent from them. Let’s change the laws here so that those who do these things face federal prison terms of no less than 20 years. If these illegals have no place to work and no place to live, chances are, they will return home or not come here in the fist place.

So, how does one go about changing Laws? Citizen petitions are a good way to start. Getting together with like-minded individuals and contacting legislators with your petitions is the only way to change existing laws in this country. I do know that these things work though.

In going after employers and those who rent to illegals, we will take the emotional blackmail card away from those who claim this is a race issue. I don’t like being called names anymore than anyone else does. I also don’t like having my intelligence insulted either. And I don’t believe in mob rule.

Anger at a situation doesn’t equate to violence against a person or place. And I am angry at the whole thing, at our government’s refusal to enforce the laws, or secure our borders, or stand behind those who DO secure our borders, and sanctuary cities who seem to think they are above the laws of the land. THESE things make me angry. And nowhere in there is that anger directed at a person or advocating violence against illegals.

Here are the definitions for Immigrant; Illegal Immigrant; Illegal Alien etc…

These related terms are often used in deliberately confusing and conflicting ways. Here is a set of definitions that will help you sort out the difference.

IMMIGRANT: In popular usage, an “immigrant” is generally understood to be a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence. Under this definition, therefore, an “immigrant” is an alien admitted to the U.S. as a lawful permanent resident. The emphasis in this definition is upon the presumptions that

(1) the immigrant followed U.S. laws and procedures in establishing residence in our country;

(2) he or she wishes to reside here permanently; and

(3) he or she swears allegiance to our country or at least solemnly affirms that he/she will observe and respect our laws and our Constitution.

ALIEN: By contrast, an “alien” is generally understood to be a foreigner — a person who comes from a foreign country — who does not owe allegiance to our country.

ILLEGAL ALIEN: An “illegal alien” is a foreigner who

(1) does not owe allegiance to our country; and

(2) who has violated our laws and customs in establishing residence in our country. He or she is therefore a criminal under applicable U.S. laws.

The term “illegal alien” is used by U.S. citizens who believe that non-citizens entering our country must comply with our immigration laws.

The term “illegal alien” is predicated upon U.S. immigration law which requires foreigners entering the U.S. to comply with our country’s rules and laws regarding entry into, and residence within, our country.

UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANT: An “undocumented immigrant” is the same as an “illegal alien”, and is a criminal under applicable U.S. laws.

Most U.S. citizens do not use the term “undocumented immigrant” and prefer, instead, the more descriptive and accurate term “illegal alien”.

The term “undocumented immigrant” is used by those who believe in “open borders”, i.e., non-regulation of foreigners entering into and assuming residence in the U.S., including even those foreigners who owe allegiance to a foreign government and/or who may intend harm to the U.S.

I do not know how much clearer things can be. In order to advocate for illegal aliens in this country you have to advocate for the breaking of U.S. Laws. I cannot do that. I believe in the rule of Law. I believe that laws are good for us. And I believe that you either obey ALL Laws or you obey NONE. But you can’t have it both ways.

Going after employers of Illegal aliens and those who rent to them or harbor them will be a start to closing our borders.

This is not to say that TRADE is not a good thing, it is. However free trade has proven itself to be a horrible thing for all the countries involved. Let’s shut down NAFTA, CAFTA and any other AFTA they can come up with. SPP is another plan that has got to be stopped. It is bad for everyone.

  1. Wow! Great piece! I struggle with this issue because I understand why they come here. I can’t blame them for trying to have a better life; or doing whatever it takes to feed their families. But not honoring and respecting the laws isn’t the way to do it.

I think what annoys me the most is that every other country also has immigration laws and no one cries about those. This country also allows the most immigrants into the country every year, but again no one mentions that. Other countries have much lower limits on the numbers of people allowed to immigrate there. So I have to wonder why it is the United States is the only country expected to have NO laws regarding immigration, NO limit on the number of immigrants to take in; NO requirements for employers to verify legal status in this country. There appears to be two sets of rules here: One set for the U.S. (which amounts to NO rules for immigrants); and another set for the rest of the world (all the laws/rules they want and as strict as they want).

Don’t even get me going on those damned H1B Visas! Those need to be banned totally. Last I heard our unemployment rate was NOT at ZERO, therefore there ARE Citizens/Legal Residents available for those jobs. We need to stop Corporations from building their profits further by paying lower wages that do not support a person here, or that a person here knows isn’t enough to support them. We are accustomed to a certain way of life, and while adjustments to that are a fact of life, there is NO WAY Corporations should have the right to force us to lower our standard of living.

Then there’s the issue that if *I* were to immigrate to another country, I would HAVE to do so legally, I would also HAVE to have the courtesy to at least have a working knowledge of their culture and language in order to get a job, place to live, buy a car, etc. So how come we get called names for asking for the same basic courtesy?

It’s the double standards that annoy me the most. But yes, we need to go after the employers and landlords. What’s worse there are already federal laws regarding the hiring and harboring of illegal immigrants that are being totally ignored. And THAT pisses me off the most. Enforce the existing LAWS just like every citizen/legal resident in this country is forced to obey every existing law.

  2. hello,
i have read what you wrote in this page and because i do not have time now to tell you everything i would like you to know; thus i just going to be brief okay
first of all i am an illegal person for this country and i going to talk to you from my heart. unfortunately no everybody follows the laws not even god law nor human law why you think you are perfect? have you ever broke a law? what is you pass a red line? you break the law… i can mention a big or a small example…but nobody is free from sin, especially when it is something that you need to do, for you, for family or just someone who you love a lot….i respect your position as a citizen but mostly as a human cause you are free to follow your ideas…you have a lot to thanks god just for the fact that you was born in this country but to the same god i thank because he help me to come, to pass all dangers that are in the frontier but he and i know why i did it…just to tell you my story… i was born in peru and lived very poor, i was raped since i was 8 to 13 years old as a child i did not what was happening but i was feeling that i did not want to exist…. when i was 15 i saw a lot of marines from your country they were visiting my country and one of them told me that there is a different life here and since then i had the chance to dream to see that there is a place were i could be happy or at least a lil happy but i wanted to live, since then i try to learn english just by talking to foreigns in my country and i went to the embassy to ask for a visa they asked me why i want to go to america and i told them because i want to be happy i was 18 that time and they laugh and said no you can no go, i did not how difficult it was, i start working because somebody told me that i need to have money to go besides a flight ticket and that they, the embassy just give visa to rich people. when i was 20 i had a brother who was about to died and he had two lil kids and i went again to the embassy to beg them because i wanted to come to have the chance to work legally and pay my brothers medicine but the embassy denied my petition, my brother got aids from a blood transference and he died and his wife died too. it was hard for me and my nephews one 5years old and the other 8. i study to be a secretary but did not find a good job… i started working in a gas station for 80 dollars a month, it was not enough… i just to go to the hospital where my brother was because they gave food. there i knew a nurse, she was practicing abortion illegally at her home. she kill her patient and after being a nurse for almost 15 years she run away and when to the embassy and told them that she have to take some classes in this country and they did not hesitate and gave her the visa. as you can see they break the law just without revising her real reasons. i know a lot of people that have break the law by lying and they here living like nothing…. i came through mexico waking it was not easy but now even though i can not have papers i am paying taxes and going to school to be a nurse, i want a chance why not? i suffer all my life why i do not deserve it at least one chance….trust me i am not a bad person bur nobody have the right to critic what i did cause i wanted to follow the law but they did not care… sorry ms. i have to go sorry for my spelling i want to improve it day by day… i am open to follow laws like you just i need the chance to be listened.

  3. This is not about a red light, and believe me, if you run a red light, you have to pay for it. This is about being here illegally. And however sorry I may feel for what you have been through, it doesn’t change the fact that you are here illegally. It doesn’t change the fact that you are working and going to school here illegally. And you shouldn’t be able to be living in Virginia.

I have nothing against you, I don’t hate you, but you do not belong here. You have a country. And if lieing to the Consolata would have gotten you a visa, why didn’t you? At least then you would be here legally.

This isn’t about closing our borders, it is about being here legally. It is about following the laws of the land you live in. If you cannot do that, how can you EVER be a good citizen? You can’t. Not ever… But I don’t hate you. I don’t advocate violence towards ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN. I’m entitled to my opinion. And as much as you may hate me for it, you are not entitled to be here.

  4. [...] Pro amnesty groups are really pathetic. In getting their desires out there they resort to name calling, protesting of talks by others, thereby trampling on the first amendment rights of those speakers, and generally making a nuisance of themselves. And they lie. They flat out lie. They call those of us who don’t agree with amnesty, racists, xenophobes, and claim we commit hate crimes, none of which is in the least bit true. See my post on these very issues HERE: [...]
